We've been waiting for you! We believe that every person who comes into this special fellowship was sent by God. If you've been thinking, praying, searching, and hoping for a place to belong, we say again . . .
Who We Are
The Albion Seventh Day Baptist Church has been a central part of the Albion community for 170 years. It was organized in 1843 by settlers arriving primarily from New York and New England. Valuing education, in 1853—even before erecting a church—they established the first coeducational facility in the state: the Albion Academy, which opened its doors in the fall of 1854. In its heyday, the academy rivaled even the University of Wisconsin.
Church services were held in the academy until 1861, when additional land was purchased across from the academy and the present church was built.
Seventh Day Baptists keep the seventh day Sabbath of the Bible. We are Christ-centered people striving to follow the teachings of Jesus. We are affiliated with the General Conference of Seventh Day Baptist Churches of the United States and Canada.
